Another new month, Another week, another day. New challenges to face, new issues to solve. New people to meet. But the same old city, same old buses, same old crowded trains !!!
The population of Bombay (I do not like it addressing it as Mumbai) is increasing by leaps and bounds.
I remember traveling to my college every single day. The routine was the same:
Wake up at 5:00am
@5:02am - Scratch my balls and then Take a leak
@5:10am - Brush my teeth
@5:15am - Clear my stomach
@5:25am - Take a nice cold water bath (Somehow I was not comfortable taking hot-water baths)
@5:35am - Dress-up for college
@5:45am - Eat my morning breakfast
@6:00am - wear my shoes
@6:05am - Leave from home
@6:10am - Reach my friends house. And he would be late as usual every single day.
The target was to catch the 6:14am Local but we eventually landed up catching the 6:25am train everyday. And then began the 3 hour travel to college. We would reach only by 9:15am approximately and if the trains are running late then we reached by 9:30am or latest by 9:45am only.
We always managed to catch the ire of the class professors for reaching late. But thats a different story.
We would move from college by around 3:00pm after attending the important lectures. Importance was strictly from an attendance point of view only. ;-)
Travelling back home, which is another 3 hours - which means we reach home only by 6:30pm.
Wheewww !!! Tiring, aint it ??
The worst part of the entire journey was the short travel from my house till Dadar station and back. You get to meet all kinds of dirty, sweaty and stinky people. People who not only stink but also fart ... EEEWWWW !!
People who chew paan or maybe some crazy tobacco. God it was AWFUL..!!
The only saving grace was the friends I had with whom the travelling became a piece of cake.
cheers to them ...!! Miss you all guys... !!!
